Mike Taylor
I apprenticed under Jake Wells in Temecula, California.
My primary styles are American Traditional and Japanese, though I’m happy to work in any style that makes for a great tattoo.
What draws me to tattooing is the craft itself, the machines, pigments, and everything that comes together in a classic tattoo shop environment. The people and characters you meet along the way make the experience even more special.
Tattooing is both a service and an experience, so it’s important to find an artist you enjoy spending time with just as much as you like their work.
I’m especially drawn to classic designs or Japanese-inspired tattoos. There’s a reason why eagles, panthers, dragons, and grim reapers never go out of style.
I love working on large-scale projects like sleeves or back pieces, but I also enjoy creating single-session tattoos that come together in one sitting.
Outside of tattooing, I enjoy traveling and exploring new places.
