Jake Shalhoub

Hi, my name is Jake Shalhoub. I’ve been professionally tattooing for 17 years.

I began my career in Encinitas, California, where I completed a two-year apprenticeship before continuing to tattoo in the area for several years.

The styles I’m most drawn to are large-scale work rooted in Japanese or American Traditional tattooing. I also enjoy lettering, black and gray, and tribal.

To me, tattoos are one of the most powerful forms of art. I’ve always been drawn to tattooing because of the craft itself, the process, the connection with clients, and the ability to create something people carry with them forever.

The exchange between the client and tattoo artist feels almost ceremonial. When someone leaves with a tattoo that truly represents who they are, it’s incredibly fulfilling.

When I’m not tattooing, I enjoy spending time with my family and animals, drawing, painting, crafting, and going on random adventures with my wife.
